Being a Housewife

I really wish I can be a full-time housewife. But nowadays being a full-time housewife is a luxury only several people can enjoy. Because in this modern world, kids need not only love to grow, but also enough money for proper education and nutrition. And to achieve that, they need both parents working.
We live in such a hectic world. In the past, women for centuries fight for their rights to be consider equal with men, to have jobs that usually only men can do, to have rights to vote, to have the right to determine having her baby or not, etc, etc. But these days, being a working mother is the hardest thing to do. Working mothers are the busiest person in the world. Being a working mother is almost imposible to be done. One should always need a hand, wheter from some relatives or a proffesional babysitter or housekeeper to get things done.
It is true that men and women are suppose to have equal rights. Because we're all have the same value in the eye of God. But it's different between having the same value and being the same in every ways. Men are men with their own special characteristics, so are women. God wouldn't create two kinds of gender if it is the same between male and female. There ought to be a purpose of being a man or a woman. Especially in the term of a family.It's been said that a man is the head of a family, but a woman is the heart of a family. Men directs the family in it's pilgrimage in this mortal world, but women sustain the family from within. If one fails to do his/her part, the whole building of a solid family shall crumble. It cannot maintain its balance.
It's true that God doesn't forbid women to work, He even encourage women to do so to help the economics of the family (Proverbs 31:13,16,18,24), but as also described in those passage in Proverbs, the role of a woman in a family is remarkable, almost unbeliveable! Besides working, the main tasks of a housewife has to be done! One cannot use her work as a reason to abandon family tasks. It has to be done equally neat! And in doing so, she mustn't whine, she has to stay happy and joyful all the time for the sake of her family being. Gosh. Can it really be done? Of course I believe in biblical term, mothers works as a side job. The main duty is to take care of the family.
I wish I can be a housewife that my family can be proud of.........
