Deuteronomy 4:7,11-12

"What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him?
You came near and stood at the foot of the mountain while it blazed with fire to the very heavens, with black clouds and deep darkness. Then the Lord spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of words but saw no form; there was only a voice."

Ponder...
Why is our Lord God is so near whenever we pray to Him? Because He reveals no form, but only the sound of WORDS.
We cannot have carved or moulded gods everywhere, but the sound of words are part of our lives. We have it since we were born and to the graves, we have it with our friends and within ourselves. We cannot see or touch words, but we know and live with it. Human made idols, but words are from God, we simply use it.

That's why the Lord God never wanted us to worship any man-made image of Him, because it will limit His omnipresence and divine manifestation. Jesus Christ is the WORD became flesh, and that's the only physical manifestation of God that necessarily to be done for the sake of our atonement.

John 1:14 "And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth."

But after the fulfilment of the prophecy, and men had seen the glory of the Father through His Son, He dwells among us forevermore in WORDS that's the manifestation of the Holy Spirit.

John 6:63 "It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life."
1 Corinthians 2:13 "And we speak of these things in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual things to those who are spiritual."

Praise God for His wonders! His Words are true and may we forever worship Him in His Truth.

Shadow

Sometimes you only see a glimpse of a person and you thought you knew them whole. Sometimes the parts one would want you to see are the parts allowed to be exposed to light. Unknowingly to you there are large portion of a person that stayed under the shades of denial or ignorance or simply chronic repression. Embracing the facts that we shall never comprehend a man wholly would be a beginning of better understanding and acceptance. 

God is the one who can see us through, for He owns us whole, the umbra and penumbra, and there's no shadow of turning with Him. For the ones who accepted the Truth, He shall expose us to light for the world to see. So it must begin from oneself to love the worst part that we despise about ourselves but God would eagerly mend. Accept our weaknesses and seek strength in His Truth.

In His Ideal Image

Manusia senang menciptakan ideal image mengenai dirinya dan cenderung hidup dalam ilusi tersebut. Namun dalam kacamata sempurna tentang dirinya yang ia bangun, seseorang cenderung mempersepsikan orang lain dan dunia di sekitarnya melalui standar ilusif itu. Akibatnya kita secara nirsadar mengkotak-kotakkan orang lain menurut standar tersebut. Ego boundaries memang mampu melindungi kita dari cidera ego, tetapi ketika batasan itu kehilangan sifatnya yang semi permeabel, rigiditas ego akan merusak tatanan dalam relasi objek dan pada akhirnya merusak diri kita sendiri.

Seyogyanyalah ego boundaries kita bersifat semi permeabel, untuk mengizinkan beberapa materi id lolos demi mempertahankan integritas diri yang alamiah, tentu saja di bawah pengawasan superego yang matur.

Keinginan akan suatu kesempurnaan hendaknya diletakkan pada kerinduan pada Sang Sempurna, karena dengan mendapat perkenananNyalah kita beroleh Mata Air Hikmat yang mampu menyempurnakan kita dalam ketidaksempurnaan kita. Ego ideal yang diletakkan dalam kesadaran tersebut akan mampu menghalau frustasi maupun konflik apapun yang menyerang ego. Izinkanlah diri kita untuk merasa inferior, terutamanya di bawah Tangan Tuhan Yang Kuat.

Think broadly, do humbly, feel grateful for His infinite providence.
