Mark 10:15-16"Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein." And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
My son said something that gave me some unexplainable feelings last night before we said our prayers : "Mami, kenapa p lama kita mo masuk ke surga?". He said that in an expression only a child could make. One pure expression of someone longing to receive reward they cannot have right now. My kids heard so much stories about Jesus, they long to enter His House. My daughter even planned of asking a room only for herself, since she knew that Jesus went by saying that there are many rooms in His Father's house.
I chuckled, giggled, and pondered...
Kids just don't realize the burden of sin. Their pure intentions is based on the overwhelming fountain of joy inside their hearts. They found joy in the Good News, the "superhero" story about salvation. They purely believe in Jesus' power, and awaits for the rewards that shall come after they obey the "rules of the game".
How many of us adults that have lost it along the way? Reality brings us up in the sky and crushed us down in one single blow so many times before, and we began to question our beliefs. Where's that superhero when you need one? How come the rules of the game cannot applied to the games this worldly people's playing? We want to escape. We want to go Home, yet we're afraid we're not good enough to enter His Presence.
Give me such faith little children have, o Lord. Yet give me wisdom a grown-up in Spirit should have. Awaits for the time when You call me home, and took me in Your arm, and bless me with Your radiant smile.
Ephesians 2:18-19
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
